Eye Of The Tiger

tigerMost fighters are totally nice outside of the cage, but when that cage door closes, they become a whole different animal. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a fighter who will be looking to upset the balance of power at 135 pounds by derailing the momentum of Ed Arthur at BAMMA 23. A professional since 2010 and fighting out of Tiger Muay Thai with UFC veterans Brodie Farber and Brian Ebersole, Englishman Shay Walsh owns a 13-3 record in 16 career fights, consisting of six Knockouts, three Submissions, and four decisions. Walsh is a very well rounded fighter who can beat you a number of different ways. He stopped his first four opponents inside the first round. Walsh’s unbeaten streak  ended at six when he lost to TUF Live contestant Andy Ogle via Unanimous Decision. After losing to Ogle, he went  on to defeat the likes of Saul Rogers and John Cullen before signing with BAMMA in 2014. In his debut fight for BAMMA, Walsh faced Submission artist James Saville at BAMMA Fight Night 2 and defeated him via Unanimous Decision. In his next fight, he faced Scotsman Paul Reed at BAMMA 16 and won again via Unanimous Decision. Walsh  then dropped to 135 pounds to face the unbeaten Gaz Pilot at BAMMA 21. He was successful in his 135 pound debut, stopping Pilot late in round three. Walsh will now face a stiff test against Ed Arthur in the co main event of BAMMA 23 on November 14th, 2015. Good Luck Shay! Enjoy the BAMMA special featuring Bryan Lacey guys.
