Cheick ‘The Sniper’ Kone Vs. John ‘The White Mike Tyson’ Phillips – BAMMA Middleweight Title

BAMMA Middleweight Champion Cheick ‘The Sniper’ Kone (13-3) is currently riding high on a 6 fight win streak that has seen him dispatch Andy ‘The Lions Paw’ DeVent, ‘The Housewives Choice’ Chris Fields & Benny Brinsa in less than a round. The devastating striker is becoming ever increasingly more popular with his destructive highlight reel KO finishes. The Atch Academy fighter will be bringing his crowd pleasing head down, hands up, relentless pressure approach to the 3Arena, Dublin where he will be looking to add John Phillips to his ‘who’s who’ of the Middleweight division wins.

John ‘The White Mike Tyson’ Phillips (18-6-1) returns to BAMMA, signing a new multi fight deal with the promotion to face Kone. Phillips has previously appeared at BAMMA’s 1, 4 & 6. Phillips now trains out of SBG in Ireland and will be hoping for some of the local support in Dublin as he faces Kone. With his no nonsense striking, Phillips and Kone are the perfect opponents for each other, and this bout will no doubt be nothing short of fireworks at the 3Arena on February 27th.

Tom ‘Firekid’ DuQuesnoy Vs. Damien ‘The Rage’ Rooney – Bantamweight Superfight

BAMMA Featherweight Champion Tom ‘Firekid’ DuQuesnoy (11-1-1) makes his first appearance in the Bantamweight division, which he announced after his close victory over Brendan Loughnane in the BAMMA 22 main event. DuQuesnoy is not getting an easy welcome to the division either in the shape of Rooney. On a 7 fight winning streak and undefeated since February of 2013, the combat sambo fighter who now trains out of Greg Jacksons Jackson-Wink MMA in Albuquerque, New Mexico will be looking to maintain his winning streak once again in Dublin as he steps in against the hugely popular Rooney.

Damien ‘The Rage’ Rooney (10-4-1) has long been a fan favourite in the Irish MMA scene, bringing an entertaining style as well as the crowds to every event he is on. The fighter out of Team Torres MMA in Newry, County Down, Ireland. Holding victories over BAMMA fighters Alan Philpott & Bryan Creighton, Rooney will once more be planning on putting a crowd pleasing performance and a dominant win in front of his home crowd.

Peter ’The Showstopper’ Queally Vs. Nathan ‘Mr. Bag & Tag’ Jones (Welterweight)

SBG Ireland’s Peter ‘The Showstopper’ Queally (6-2) has had recent stints in Poland and South Africa, but now returns to his hometown at the 3Arena to face ‘Mr. Bag & Tag’. The technical grappler/striker will be wanting to give the hometown fans something to shout about as the popular fighter makes his BAMMA debut on February 27th.

The recently signed Nathan ‘Mr. Bag & Tag’ Jones (9-4) is currently riding high on a 5 fight win streak which includes his impressive last performance at BAMMA 19, where he bested the very highly rated Oskar ‘The Universal Soldier’ Somerfeld. Equally at home standing and striking with his opponent as he is on the ground, Mr. Bag & Tag will be wanting to make an impression in his Dublin debut.

’The Housewives Choice’ Chris Fields vs. Andy ‘The Lion’s Paw’ DeVent (Middleweight)

‘The Housewives Choice’ Chris Fields (10-7-1) returns to avenge his shock loss to Christopher Jacquelin back in September at BAMMA 22. Not one to back down and take a easier opponent, Fields signed on the dotted line to take on the dangerous DeVent once again in front of his home crowd at the 3Arena. Another of SBG’s standouts, Fields became a father days before BAMMA 22 and will be fully focused on getting the win this time around.

Andy ‘The Lion’s Paw’ DeVent (12-10) last competed in the main event where he came across the Middleweight road block that is BAMMA Champion Cheick Kone. Coming out on the losing side of that bout (something he and Fields have in common) and snapping a 2 fight win streak in the process. DeVent is now looking to get back to winning ways in Dublin against the ultra tough Fields. Training out of one of UK’s fastest rising gyms at ASW, alongside the likes of Lonsdale Champion Marc ‘Bonecrusher’ Diakiese and former BAMMA Middleweight Champion Scott Askham, DeVent will be attempting to get the finish as soon as possible.

Paul Byrne Vs. Bola ‘Cashflow’ Omoyele (Middleweight)

Paul Byrne (6-0) declared his intent at BAMMA 22, with a spectacular head kick KO against Conor ‘Da Crook’ Cooke on the events prelims. The dangerous striker has been perfecting his craft at SBG, and with his team mates competing on the same night, will be trying to ensure that he retains his unbeaten record against arguably his most difficult opponent yet in Bola ‘Cashflow’ Omeyele. With all of his fights finishing via TKO in the first or the second round, he will be looking to give his hometown crowd in Dublin more of the same on fight night.

Bola ‘Cashflow’ Omolyele (8-4) finally makes his BAMMA bow after appearing at several events cornering other Team Titan members. The all around technical standout will be looking to not only end Byrne’s unbeaten run, but propel himself straight into the BAMMA Middleweight title mix with an impressive victory at the 3Arena on fight night. Omoeyle is entering Dublin off the back of a win against Tye Palmer in May 2015 and will be expecting to keep that trend going against Byrne.

‘Magic’ Myles Price Vs. Mario ‘Rudeboy’ Saaed (Lightweight)

’Magic’ Myles Price (8-6) returned to MMA after a 20 month lay off from competing, where he went and immersed himself in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training that almost paid off for him at BAMMA 22. In a razor thin decision loss against Kane ‘Danger’ Mousah, that many considered to be the fight of the night at BAMMA 22, the Team Ryano standout will be putting his skills on the line once again against the always dangerous Mario Saaed.

Mario ‘Rudeboy’ Saaed (6-2) makes his BAMMA debut at BAMMA 24 in Dublin. A fan favourite who brings a crowd everywhere he goes, Saeed has 4 of his 6 wins via armbar, ensuring that Price won’t be having things all his way on the ground come fight night. The Team Trojan fighter has a victory over former BAMMA fighter Wayne Drake via decision in 2013, and is now looking to take a step up in competition as he faces Price in Dublin.
