Sinead Kavanagh Vs. Kerry ‘Rocksteady’ Hughes (Bantamweight Bout)

Sensational Bantamweight Sinead Kavanagh (1-0) made history in her pro debut at BAMMA 22, when she became the first female to not only compete in the BAMMA amphitheatre, but scored a highlight reel win in the promotions first ever event on Irish shores. Sinead, a pupil of the ‘sweet science’, returns to the 3Arena on Saturday 27th February looking for another decisive victory.

Kerry ‘Rocksteady’ Hughes (2-1) is well known throughout the European Women’s MMA scene and now gets to make her promotional debut in Dublin. Fighting out of Semtex Essex and known for having the majority of her wins via TKO, Hughes has been spending time concentrating on developing her striking. Previously out of BKK Fighters in Colchester Essex, Hughes trained alongside the likes of Jack Mason and Luke Barnatt, and was undefeated at amateur level. It is now time for her to put her improved striking to the test against the power of Kavanagh.

Mark Andrew Vs. Patrick Wixted (Bantamweight Bout)

Mark Andrew (1-0) made his successful debut at BAMMA 22 against the much heralded Sean Tobin, securing a 3rd round tap out at 1:16 via guillotine choke. The Next Generation Northern Ireland fighter has been eager to return to BAMMA with a full camp under his belt and will get his chance dome February. Known for their impressive striking at Next Gen, Andrew is also a skilled wrestler as his submission win over Tobin suggests.

Patrick Wixted (1-2) grabbed his first win at BAMMA 22 when his opponent Conor Dillon succumbed to a barrage of blows at the 2 minute mark of the second round, to get the win via TKO. The Team Ryano fighter will also be looking to extend his winning streak when he meets Andrew face to face on the 27th February 2016.

Rhys ‘Skeletor’ McKee vs. Paul Lawrence (Lightweight Bout)

In one of BAMMA 22’s biggest upsets of the night, Rhys ‘Skeletor’ McKee (1-0) stepped up on very short notice to make his pro debut and moved up 2 weight classes (McKee had previously fought at Featherweight) to take on the vastly more experienced John ‘Johnny Jitsu’ Redmond. Winning the bout at 1:30 of the first round via Rear naked Choke, McKee declared his arrival in the pro ranks. The Next Generation Northern Ireland fighter now makes the Lightweight division his home, and will be looking to prove that the first victory wasn’t a flash in pan when he takes on Lawrence.

Paul Lawrence (2-0) from the Rush Fight Academy, Leinister makes his promotional debut at BAMMA 24 and also at Lightweight as he drops down from Welterweight. His most recent victory came in August of 2015 against international opponent, now gets his chance to showcase his skills on Europe’s biggest stage.

Will Fluery vs. Thomas Hogan (Welterweight Bout)

Will Fleury (0-0) makes his pro debut at BAMMA 24. The Trials MMA fighter amassed an undefeated 3-0 record as an amateur. Originally scheduled to fight Hogan in August of 2015, the bout is now back on and the two will collide at the 3Arena, Dublin. The well rounded fighter will be looking to impress for his pro debut on the 27th February.

Rush Fight Academy’s second fighter to join the BAMMA 24 card is Thomas Hogan (1-0). The Leinister man will be wanting to build on his debut pro win and undefeated amateur record of 5-0.
