Headhunters Fighting Championship takes place this Saturday at Grangemouth. The main event is a match up between Chris Bungard and Malta’s Enrico Manicaro. We caught up with Chris Bungard and started by asking what he knows of Manicaro.
Bungard said, “I know he’s won all his fights with guillotine and came 3rd in the sambo worlds so it’s gonna be a tough match up. He comes forward too which is something I’m looking forward to everyone will see my striking in this fight and see how I keep getting better each performance.”
MMAUK: How do you see the fight going?
CB: I see me finishing the fight in the first round. I would love a clean KO but I think I will break him into submission.
MMAUK: What plans do you have for the future?
CB: I’m just concentrating on one fight at a time. Obviously the dream would be to be signed by the UFC to fight on the Glasgow card but I think it will be further down the line now. I do like fighting for ACB so might fight on the Newcastle card even though it’s a bit close to the headhunter show we’ll see.
MMAUK: Have you anything to say to Manicaro and the fans that will turn up?
CB: I just hope he gets on that plane to be honest. I’ve put in the work as always and can’t wait to put on a performance for my fans and get another highlight reel finish. Big thanks to my team, fans and sponsors for there loyal support. Saturday night I’m coming with an army!
