Luan Santiago and Eduardo Ramon earn Fight Night bonuses at Brave 8

Brave 8: The Rise of Champions showcased a card full of surprises and exciting moments. Luan Santiago and Eduardo Ramon secured the fight night bonus for the event. Though Luan Santiago struggled early on against Soares, the Brazilian Fighter of The Year for 2016 recovered quick though he was rocked twice within the first three minutes of the first round. The lightweight who trains at the CM System showed resilience to hang on and went for the kill with a perfectly timed uppercut that dropped Soares. This marked the second victory for Luan Santiago, winning KO of The Night. Santiago called out Ottman Azaitar to face him during November at Bahrain.

Eduardo, on the other hand, has been preparing for Rogério Santos for quite some time. Eduardo who trains at Evolução Thai surprised his opponent by switching from striking. As Eduardo entered the wrestling department, he found himself the room for a perfect armbar, leaving Santos with no choice but to tap out of the contest.

“I’m a black belt in jiu-jitsu and I represent jiu-jitsu so to have a bonus for that is amazing. I’ve done a three-month camp for this fight and I was well prepared. I’m still in disbelief about my performance and I’m so happy that I got to yield results for the efforts and trust that my coaches Serginho Moraes and André Dida put on me”, said “Camelo” after his victory.
